About Me Practicing my Craft for the last two years has brough me to a place where I truely and wholey enjoying life ad learning to live in balance. I continue to learn about myself and am coming to know the Lord and Lady in ways that I had never expected. This is not a lifestyle of simply study and knowledge it is a lifestyle of experience and life. To many times we walk through this world and fail to see the beauty in it. I refuse to walk in it and keep my eyes closed. I walk and will continue to walk with eyes open to the glories of nature... the wonders of creation and the awe of the cycles of life. I love to study, to know, but more than that I love to experience and see with my senses the things that i have been learning and studying. What good is knowing about these things if they are locked away only in your mind? You will find here my thoughts, my spells, my poetry and my dreams. I am approching my first degree initiation in our coven this fall and I am excited about continuing on this path of discovery and life and freedom. I have much to learn and am loving every step of it... even the hard ones. If you decide to use one of the spells or recipes on my blog (they are all written and created by me unless otherwise noted) please take the time to let me know how they worked out for you and any additions or changes you would make. This is a process of growing and learning and we learn from each other and we grow from learning... May the Lord and Lady watch over your every step and may joy and love fill your soul Riawvynn

    Goddess Invocation

Thursday, July 10, 2008, 12:49 PM EST [Poetry]

    Goddess Invocation

    Herald of the seasons

Free, dancing maiden of the earth

You who is the wild wind in the trees

That ushers in the new seasons

You who is the gentle breeze

That whispers of warmth and peace

You who brings the bight sun

To warm the cold winter ground

You who is the fresh scent of newness

After the soft showers of spring

    You who is the birdsong

And falls softly on listening ears

Gently awakening frozen hearts inspiring new life

I welcome You here with a quiet and grateful heart

    Surround me with Your presence

    And Your joyous song

    Arms of the Mother

You whose cloak of blooming flowers and undulating grasses

Covers the earth with abundant hue

You who is the fertile soil

That nourishes our famished souls and bodies

You who is the strong elder tree

That provides shelter and cover from the noon day sun

You who is the summer sun

Shinning down to bring warmth and light

    To bring growth and strength

    To the smallest seed

    To the giant oak

    And to this humble child

I welcome You here with an open and expectant heart

Surround me with life and health

And fill me with Your light

    Bearer of all life

You who voice is heard in the cry of the newborn babe

That grew from Your fertile womb

You who is the protective loving arms

    That cherish and honour life

You who is the mother bird

Under whose protective wings I hide

You who is provision and sustenance

    That provides for every need

You who is teacher and guide

Who brings us through every trial and lesson

    Holding our hand

    So we never fall

    And never falter

I welcome You here with the trust of a child

Surround me with Your protective wings

And fill me with courage and comfort

    Hands of time

You who is the golden fall leaves

    Fluttering on cool autumn breezes

You who is hidden and seen in the mountains, seas and meadows

That hold Your knowledge and insight

You who is the wisdom of the ages

Gazing out from eyes sunken in Your weathered face

You who is the knowledge of eternity

Echoing in the caverns of the deep

    Whispering through the mountain passes

Raging in the fiery light of the sun

    Flowing in the soothing waters

And growing in the heart of this child

I welcome You here with expectation

Quench my thirst with Your wisdom

    And lead me into eternity

    Goddess

    Maiden, Mother and Crone

It is You I welcome here

    In all Your manifestations

    In all Your creation

    And with all my love

    poem for Isis

Monday, June 30, 2008, 03:22 PM EST [Poetry]

    Goddess Isis, Great mother

You who surrounds us with the light of love

You who holds Your children in Your arms

You who protects Your little ones beneath your wings

    Your child beseeches You

To come and teach, guide, and heal

Pour forth Your wisdom on Your child

That she may grow in the light of knowledge

And be filled with insight and discernment

Lead Your daughter in the ways she should go

    Instruct her in the mysteries

Of magick, life, death, love, and womanhood

    Guide her heart and mind

    Good Mother and Faithful Lover

Your little one cries out to you

    Touch heart and mind

Heal and fill with love and compassion

Deepen her understanding of shadows and light

That she might know a more perfect joy

And that she may appreciate the value

Of tenacity, loyalty, devotion, and undying passion

Love her and fill her with Your grace

With the wonder of a small child

Your daughter reaches for Your hand

And thanks You for the blessing of Your presence

    a poem for Yemaya

Monday, June 30, 2008, 03:09 PM EST [Poetry]

    Ocean Goddess

Surging wave and hand of the tide

Nurturer of the ebb and flow of life

    Grant me the wisdom

To see the rhythm and the current

    Wash clear my eyes

    In your waters

    So that I may see

    Your timing and Your gifts

    Of opportunity and change

    Awaken me

To the inevitability of life's movement

So that I might embrace lightly

    And never cling

To what might or might not be

    But live fully

    In the moment

    Goddess of the deep

    Enlighten me

    To the mysterious wells

    Of a woman's soul

    Plunge the depths

    And awaken

    The strong, wise

    Woman inside

And enable her to see clearly

    The power of love

    The courage of woman

    The strength in being

    The light of life

    In the darkest of times

    Give stability and wisdom

    To maintain the balance

    Of the dance of life

    Pure Hot Love Vinegar (edible)

Thursday, May 29, 2008, 01:51 PM EST [Spells & Charms]

    Name: Raiwvynn

Spell Name: Pure Hot Love Vinegar (edible)

Purpose: To stoke the fires of love between you and your partner.

    Items Needed:

    *      3 Cups white vinegar

    *      Handful of dried tomatoes

    *      Handful of dried chilli peppers

    *      Handful of parsley

    *      Handful of rosemary

    *      2 lime cut into pieces

    Correspondences Used:

The ingredients add up to 9 parts. I did this because this is a love spell and I used the numerology to find out that the number of love is 9. I picked the three week time to let it sit because passion comes out as a 3.

    *      Vinegar – this adds the essence of fire. It draws the power and strength of fire into the spell. It is also a purifying agent. This vinegar is made for lovers in a committed relationship so the purifying properties will help keep the relationship strong and true.

    *      Parsley – to draw lust

    *      Rosemary – this herb draws love as well as lust. Since this vinegar is for committed couples we want to draw the love and toss in a bit of the lust.

    *      Tomatoes – to inspire love

    *      Lime – to draw love

    *      Chilli Peppers – used to enflame your lover and to ensure a “spicy” love

    Spell:

Mix the ingredients together and repeat the following while you do so:

I have my true loves heart and he has mine

Our love is sweet and oh so fine

Fire burn and bind us tight

In each others arms we join all night

When you have mixed it cap it tightly and places it out in the sun for three days (one night for love, one night for passion and one night to bind the two.) At the end of the three place the mix in a cool dark place for three weeks. Every day during the first week take the container and swirl it gently and say:

Today for love to mix in our hearts

Our joy in each other it never departs

Every day during the second week swirl the container gently and say:

    Passions fires stoke and burn

To each other our hearts will turn

Every day during the third week swirl the container gently and say:

Loves sweet joy and passions fire

Our pleasure in the other will never tire

At the end of the third week strain and rebottle the vinegar and repeat the following:

    Bound together, heart to heart

In my arms is where thou art

    Soul to soul together tied

In your arms I now abide

Loves sweet passion, a give and take

I make this vinegar, for sweet loves sake

    Additional Information:

You can use this vinegar on salads, to marinate chicken, on pasta or whatever else you desire to try it with.

    Checking in

Tuesday, May 27, 2008, 03:27 PM EST [General]

Its been more than a month since I have been on here... so I am catching up with reading blogs today. I have been without internet and will be for another two weeks at least. I have missed being here but it has been a great month with getting moved, starting a container garden and finally dealing with some emotional issues that were depressing me and getting in the way of my growth. I feel fantastic! I look forward to being back soon.

    Bright Blessings

    Raiwvynn
