About Me Practicing my Craft for the last two years has brough me to a place where I truely and wholey enjoying life ad learning to live in balance. I continue to learn about myself and am coming to know the Lord and Lady in ways that I had never expected. This is not a lifestyle of simply study and knowledge it is a lifestyle of experience and life. To many times we walk through this world and fail to see the beauty in it. I refuse to walk in it and keep my eyes closed. I walk and will continue to walk with eyes open to the glories of nature... the wonders of creation and the awe of the cycles of life. I love to study, to know, but more than that I love to experience and see with my senses the things that i have been learning and studying. What good is knowing about these things if they are locked away only in your mind? You will find here my thoughts, my spells, my poetry and my dreams. I am approching my first degree initiation in our coven this fall and I am excited about continuing on this path of discovery and life and freedom. I have much to learn and am loving every step of it... even the hard ones. If you decide to use one of the spells or recipes on my blog (they are all written and created by me unless otherwise noted) please take the time to let me know how they worked out for you and any additions or changes you would make. This is a process of growing and learning and we learn from each other and we grow from learning... May the Lord and Lady watch over your every step and may joy and love fill your soul Riawvynn

    To Arvins

Arvins - Lord of the Chase

    Lord of the Chase

    Hunter and hunted

Loved by elven and worshiped by men

    You the silent listener

Who directs the passage of life and death

    Keeper of balance

    Teacher of children

    Beneath the tree of wisdom

    Giver of knowledge

    With patience and love

              Hand held out gently

To each child who would learn

High Spirit from the dream of Ava

    Strong God of the earth

    Living and dying

    Creating and destroying

panick and anguish of the hunted

Power and passion of the hunter

    Horned one, Hunt Lord

    Green Prince of the Forests

    With watching golden eyes

    You see all

    Standing silent, bow at ready

    To fell your prey

    To Bacchus

Thursday, October 23, 2008, 10:52 PM EST [Poetry]

Come spend a night with me Bacchus

    In merriment and song

As we revel in amethyst wine

    And in fine company

With leafed crown and mantle green

    You stand there virile Lord

And from the jug held in your hand

The grapes of life pour forth

The violet stream is flowing round

    Its cure and healing balm

    To sooth despair and loneliness

    With friends who gather round

I turn to you and raise a glass

Be it of port or chardonnay

And with loud cheers for the joy of life

I down this glass and sway

So may the nectar of the gods

    Flow abundant every day

And may my thanks forever rise

As I greet each brand new day

    Play Sweetly O Pan

Wednesday, October 22, 2008, 10:10 PM EST [Poetry]

    Play Sweetly O Pan

     Play sweetly O Pan

    Great God of forest

    Of flock and shepherd

    Haunt of the shady copses

    Dancer of the wild meadows

    Coil enchantments

    Around and about

    Your melodies echoing

    On whispering winds

    By the river sing out

    The thrill of the Chase

    As when You scattered

    Dragonfly and toad

    Raising chaos

    Causing ruin

    As you perused Syrinx

    Through the wilds

              Dance with glee

              Great God Goat Man

              Bringing of Joy to Olympus

              Wanderer of mount and vale

              Great lover of life

              Hunter and protector

              You the whisper of panic

              In the dark wildernesses

              Of our hidden shadows

              You the knife that cuts

              With a tricksters joke

              Opening our eyes

              To the truth within

              Play sweetly O Pan

    Goddess Invocation

Thursday, July 10, 2008, 12:49 PM EST [Poetry]

    Goddess Invocation

    Herald of the seasons

Free, dancing maiden of the earth

You who is the wild wind in the trees

That ushers in the new seasons

You who is the gentle breeze

That whispers of warmth and peace

You who brings the bight sun

To warm the cold winter ground

You who is the fresh scent of newness

After the soft showers of spring

    You who is the birdsong

And falls softly on listening ears

Gently awakening frozen hearts inspiring new life

I welcome You here with a quiet and grateful heart

    Surround me with Your presence

    And Your joyous song

    Arms of the Mother

You whose cloak of blooming flowers and undulating grasses

Covers the earth with abundant hue

You who is the fertile soil

That nourishes our famished souls and bodies

You who is the strong elder tree

That provides shelter and cover from the noon day sun

You who is the summer sun

Shinning down to bring warmth and light

    To bring growth and strength

    To the smallest seed

    To the giant oak

    And to this humble child

I welcome You here with an open and expectant heart

Surround me with life and health

And fill me with Your light

    Bearer of all life

You who voice is heard in the cry of the newborn babe

That grew from Your fertile womb

You who is the protective loving arms

    That cherish and honour life

You who is the mother bird

Under whose protective wings I hide

You who is provision and sustenance

    That provides for every need

You who is teacher and guide

Who brings us through every trial and lesson

    Holding our hand

    So we never fall

    And never falter

I welcome You here with the trust of a child

Surround me with Your protective wings

And fill me with courage and comfort

    Hands of time

You who is the golden fall leaves

    Fluttering on cool autumn breezes

You who is hidden and seen in the mountains, seas and meadows

That hold Your knowledge and insight

You who is the wisdom of the ages

Gazing out from eyes sunken in Your weathered face

You who is the knowledge of eternity

Echoing in the caverns of the deep

    Whispering through the mountain passes

Raging in the fiery light of the sun

    Flowing in the soothing waters

And growing in the heart of this child

I welcome You here with expectation

Quench my thirst with Your wisdom

    And lead me into eternity

    Goddess

    Maiden, Mother and Crone

It is You I welcome here

    In all Your manifestations

    In all Your creation

    And with all my love

    poem for Isis

Monday, June 30, 2008, 03:22 PM EST [Poetry]

    Goddess Isis, Great mother

You who surrounds us with the light of love

You who holds Your children in Your arms

You who protects Your little ones beneath your wings

    Your child beseeches You

To come and teach, guide, and heal

Pour forth Your wisdom on Your child

That she may grow in the light of knowledge

And be filled with insight and discernment

Lead Your daughter in the ways she should go

    Instruct her in the mysteries

Of magick, life, death, love, and womanhood

    Guide her heart and mind

    Good Mother and Faithful Lover

Your little one cries out to you

    Touch heart and mind

Heal and fill with love and compassion

Deepen her understanding of shadows and light

That she might know a more perfect joy

And that she may appreciate the value

Of tenacity, loyalty, devotion, and undying passion

Love her and fill her with Your grace

With the wonder of a small child

Your daughter reaches for Your hand

And thanks You for the blessing of Your presence
